Polyphonic Film’s debut feature The Full Monteverdi will be released in cinemas across South Africa from Good Friday. The country’s largest exhibitor Ster-Kinekor will open the film in seven of its arts screens spurred on by the success of international opera screenings. Tell anyone you know down in SA!

The Hauksbee Awards
12 Mar 2010 / Keith and Greg’s big UK tour for science
We hit the road in Feb to film a stack of short docs for the Royal Society’s new Hauksbee Awards. We travelled the entire length and breadth of the country; from East London to Edinburgh, via Selby, Lancashire and mid Wales to name but a few stops.
The awards aim to celebrate the un-sung heros of science; the lab techs, science teachers and managers who underpin the industry. We met some amazing characters: from a ex-scaffolder turned inspirational DT teacher, to a space instrument technician who was a the Challenger launch, to name but two of the ten winners. The night spent in a cold remote Travelodge nr Kendal was worth it.

12 Dec 2009 / The team are in Austria again
It’s the end of December, which must mean Greg and a few other Silicon19 co-conspirators have been in Austria filming some Shakespeare again Well, they have. For sixteen-ish days we climbed mountains (and slid down them again), wrangled swords and chickens, and filmed some stunning performances. The Tragedy of Macbeth is coming soon, in full feature length glory.
More information will be coming soon, including trailers and production stills in due course. To discuss this cracking production (Silicon19 is simply a production partner) either mail Greg or Mike Berenger (the producer). The film will be available for theatrical, consumer and broadcast distribution early in 2010.
